This is an exciting time for Sport in Glasgow. In 2014 the Commonwealth Games will come to Glasgow. This will give the City a chance to deliver a great Games for both Glasgow and Scotland.

But crucially it gives us all an opportunity to ensure there is a lasting sporting legacy for Glasgow and its Citizens. The Sports Council for Glasgow is committed to acting as a voice for Sport to establish what we want that legacy to be and make sure that it is delivered. We can only do this as a strong voice that represents as many clubs and sports organizations as possible.

Join us and give YOUR club the opportunity to have your say on that legacy and other sporting issues within the City.

The SCG is also a member of the Scottish Association of Local Sports Councils (SALSC) where we are well represented on the respective committees

At the Sports Council for Glasgow we have the skills and experience to help your club increase its profile, attract and retain new members and volunteers, attract funding, and function more effectively. Working with the Sports Council for Glasgow we think you’ll discover a host of opportunities for your club.
