Host & Presenter BBC's Graham Anderson

Annual Awards hosted by BBC's Graham Anderson

This year’s host and presenter, was a familiar voice on BBC One and BBC Two in Scotland.

Graham Anderson is one of BBC Scotland’s most experienced Presentation Announcer / Directors, having provided live channel continuity for twenty two years, introducing and back announcing many of the BBC’s flagship programmes such as EastEnders, Strictly Come Dancing, Planet Earth, and many more. Prior to joining the BBC, he was a presenter on a number of Scotland’s top commercial radio stations, such as Radio Forth, Tay and Clyde 1.

In addition to his broadcasting career, he’s now joined the Great Run and Great Swim team as a live event commentator, working across the UK at all their major events, including the Great Scottish Run.

Sport has played a huge part in his life, particularly athletics and road running, and represented Galloway Harriers, Bellahouston Road Runners and Kilbarchan AAC during his 35 years as an endurance athlete. His five years in the British Army prior to his broadcasting career saw him win the Scottish Infantry Cross Country and Berlin Brigade 5000 meter titles in 1987 and ’88.

He’s run almost every distance, from 5K to the marathon, cross country to mountain races, and regards his 2.57 in the Edinburgh Marathon as his finest athletics achievement!
