Glasgow Teams Record Early Wins In Cricket Competition
Both North Glasgow and South Glasgow recorded impressive early season wins in the Western District Junior Cricket Union’s U13 Inter-Area Competition 2010.  The competition features representative sides from Ayrshire, Clyde, Dumfries and Galloway, Lanarkshire, North Glasgow and South Glasgow and the competition is the first step on the representative cricket ladder.
In the May fixtures, North Glasgow (led by 50 from Alex Ewing of West of Scotland CC) beat Dumfries and Galloway by 23 runs and South Glasgow (led by 84 from Poloc CC’s Ross Armour and 41 by Andrew Hume of Clydesdale CC) recorded a comfortable victory over Lanarkshire – winning by 73 runs.
The two Glasgow teams find themselves sitting joint top of the table (along with Clyde) with 10 points and June will see the Glasgow derby take place at Glasgow Accies CC on Sunday 6th June.
