Sports Council Chairperson Moira Ord was in attendance and commented that it was great to see so many Clubs and Individuals being recognisedc at such a prestigious venue

Shown in the photo is Kris Litter from the Scottish Youth FA West Region’s Under 17 Squad recieving the 2nd level accreditation from Councillor Geroge Redmond Chair of Glasgow Life

Kris said that he was delighted that the Region had achieved this recognition and it showed all the good work that was taking place in Youth Football in Glasgow wasn’t going unnoticed

The Sports Council for Glasgow Annual Awards Event was held in St. Andrews in the Sqaure in the heart of the City.

Over 150 people attended this Event, and more than 40 Awards were presented across a number of different categories.

The 10th Anniversary of the Glasgow City Cup took place at the Glasgow Green Football Complex from the 5th - 8th August 2011. In what was a great festival of football over 200 Team participated at the event. Sports Council member club Arsenal BC won the Under 19’s and shown here is Councillor George Redmond presenting the Glasgow City Cup to the Arsenal Captain
